Of the multitudes of military locks that are out there this example by Waterbury is less common. All brass construction it was designed to be used outdoors and most likely at sea because of its corrosion resistance. This was found in the estate of a retired US Navy Veteran of the Sea Bees. Measures 2 1/4" with a 3/4" shackle clearance. Single working key marked V254F
