This natural bamboo tea scoop (chashaku) is a traditional Japanese tea utensil for measuring out a serving of powdered matcha (powdered green tea). Chashaku are appreciated for their beauty as well as their function, and special ones are bestowed with poetic names (gomei) which give it a seasonal identity.
